Rosary Prayer
(to be recited at the beginning of each Rosary service)
O MARY, Mother of the Church,
Teach us to accept God’s will,
in the spirit of the Annunciation;
Visit us in our need, as you visited Elizabeth;
Bring us forth in grace, as you brought forth Jesus in the flesh;
Present us in the temple of the Father;
And take us, after this life’s journey, to find Jesus in His Father’s house.
Obtain for us the courage to be one with Jesus in His agony,
and to say “Father, Your will be done”,
Grant that “through His wounds, we may be healed;
Teach us the meekness of our king crowned with thorns, and how to carry our cross daily,
That we may “know the fellowship of his sufferings,”
on Mount Calvary.
And when the hour comes to leave this world,
grant that we may “know the power of His Resurrection”
And ascend to that home prepared for us;
O Mary, sweet spouse of the Spirit,
grant that we may share in the outpouring of the Holy Spirit;
And after this our exile, rejoice in the glory of your Assumption, and coronation in heaven. Amen.
Opening Prayer
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Eternal Father, our Lord and our God, we want to devote to You this time of ours. Quieten our hearts and help us to abandon ourselves completely to You. Do not let any of our words be empty. Let each be a step closer to You.
Enlighten our minds, and open our seed of love, faith and hope, that it may grow, like it did in the Immaculate Bosom of the Virgin Mary, our Blessed Mother who, in all humility, had accepted to be the handmaid of God. Help and guide us that we may also imitate her as your faithful servant.
We invite all angels and saints in heaven, all guardian angels and all the Holy Souls in purgatory to join us in our prayers, and in union with all the prayers being prayed today, we offer them to our Heavenly Father through the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Amen
Prayers Of The Rosary
THE APOSTLES’ CREED
I believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe
in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead.
On the third day, He rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living
and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
THE OUR FATHER
Our Father, who art in heaven.
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.Amen
THE HAIL MARY
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother
of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen. x3
THE GLORY BE
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
FATIMA PRAYER
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell.
Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Your mercy.
The Mysteries of the Rosary
The First Joyful Mystery
The Annunciation
(LUKE 1:26-38)
Let us offer this Decade for poor sinners, our friends, relatives, benefactors and for peace in the world.
The Archangel announces to Mary that she has been chosen by God to become the Mother of the Saviour who was to come into the world as man. When Mary understood that this was God’s Holy Will, she consented and said, “Be it done unto me according to thy word.” The Holy Spirit at once overshadowed her with His power and the Word was made Flesh; that is, the Son of God became man!
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on some of
the recent announcements that we have received from God. Be
joyful that God continues to announce good news to us.(
Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Second Joyful Mystery
The Visitation
(LUKE 1:39-40)
Let us offer this Decade for the universal triumph of the church by daily
Mass and Holy Communion and the enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary in every home.
When Mary learned from the Angel that her cousin Elizabeth was about to have a son, she hastened with Joseph to visit her in Hebron 90 miles away, in order to assist her. The presence of Jesus in Mary’s womb purified the yet unborn St. John the Baptist from original sin, and filled him with sanctifying grace.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on some of the recent visitations that we have received from others and God when we thought we were doing the visiting. Be joyful that God continues to visit us.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Third Joyful Mystery
The Birth Of Jesus
(LUKE 2:1-20 )
Let us offer this Decade for our Apostolate, for sick relatives, friends, benefactors, and for those who have been injured in some way or other.
Contemplate with joy and gratitude the Saviour born at midnight in a stable, under conditions of great poverty. The angels announced the news to poor and simple shepherds who came at once to worship Him. Angels above the cave sang the praises of God, and the three Magi arrived later on.
REFLECTION: As we reflect on this mystery, let us rejoice in Jesus our Saviour, and give Him joy by receiving Him often in Holy Communion.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Fourth Joyful Mystery
The Presentation
(LUKE 2:22-40)
Let us offer this Decade for the intentions that are in the petition box,
for our Holy Father the Pope, and the sanctification of bishops, priests and religious.
When the Infant Jesus was 40 days old, Mary and Joseph took Him to the Temple to be presented to His eternal Father, according to the
Law. The High Priest Simeon who offered up the Child prophesied that Jesus would suffer contradictions and persecutions from wicked men
in times to come. We, too, were presented to God and consecrated in Holy Baptism.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect upon all the truth and joy that came
to us from God through others who have been presented to us.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Fifth Joyful Mystery
The Finding In The Temple
(LUKE 2:41-52)
Let us offer this Decade for all Christians, for those persecuted and
persecutors, for lapsed and careless Catholics, for our Leaders and our Republic.
When the boy Jesus was twelve years old, He accompanied His parents to the temple. After the ceremonies, the Child was missed, and actually
lost for three days. At last, they found Him in the Temple, conversing with the doctors of the law.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect upon all the ways that God has found us through others. And be joyful that God
seeks the lost.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The First Sorrowful Mystery
Christ’s Agony In Gethsemane
(LUKE 22:39-40)
Let us offer this Decade for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and for the intentions that are in the petition box.
During Christ’s hour long prayer on that Thursday night, He foresaw that millions would reject Him and His invitation to Heaven! This thought threw Him into an agony of suffering, so that He sweated blood that trickled down His body while He prayed thus, “Father, not My will, but Your Will be done.”
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on own
experiences, both of putting off agony and going through it. In which ones did we experience the presence of God? How was our
life enriched?
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Second Sorrowful Mystery
The Scourging At The Pillar
(JOHN 19: 1)
Let us offer this Decade for poor sinners, our friends, relatives,
benefactors and for peace in the world.
Jesus, the Son of God is stripped of His clothes and tied to a broken shaft
of a pillar. He is then scourged until His innocent flesh is torn to shreds, exposing His bare bones. Jesus is atoning for sins of impurity.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on the verbal scourging or other verbal abuses we have given to others, make
a promise to discipline our tongues, and sorrowfully, ask God for help to avoid future hurts.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Third Sorrowful Mystery
The Crowning With Thorns
(MATT 27: 28-29)
Let us offer this Decade for the spreading and understanding of the Catholic faith, and through prayers and sacrifices we may have infinite atonement for our sins.
Christ, the King of kings submitted to this mocking ceremony of being crowned as a king, with a crown of thorns! For a sceptre, they made Him hold a long reed. His torturers then pulled His beard, spat upon Him, blindfolded Him, and struck Him saying “Hail, King of the Jews! Tell us who it is that struck You!” Jesus thus atoned for all the sins of bad thoughts and impure desires.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on our crown of pain. Is it a crown of thorns or one of powerless service to others?
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Fourth Sorrowful Mystery
The Carrying Of The Cross
(JOHN 19:17 )
Let us offer this Decade for the offences committed against chastity, holy ideals of marriage, human life and corrupt public morals.
Jesus is made to carry His cross up Mt Calvary. This torture, coming
after the scourging, and the crowning with thorns, causes Jesus to suffer incredibly from loss of blood, thirst and weakness. He falls three times on the way, but never complains, being mindful only of His Heavenly Father’s Will. Our sufferings are our crosses allowed to us by God.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on both the crosses we have carried and those we now carry and how those
illustrate our understanding of discipleship.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Fifth Sorrowful Mystery
The Crucifixion
(LUKE 23:35-49)
Let us offer this Decade for the release of Holy Souls
in purgatory, that of our parents, friends, relatives, benefactors and for those who have none to pray for them and who have been most forgotten.
The first words Jesus uttered when hanging on the cross was a prayer for His enemies: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” He then told His Mother to adopt all mankind as her children, and then promised Heaven to the repentant thief. After three hours of agony, He commended His soul to His Eternal Father, bowed His head, and died.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on the crucifixions in which we have taken part and sorrowfully ask God
for forgiveness.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The First Glorious Mystery
The Resurrection
(LUKE 24: 3-8)
Let us offer this Decade for our Holy Father the Pope to have the strength to withstand the persecutions being directed against the Church.
Three days after the Crucifixion, very early on Sunday morning, Christ came out of His tomb in glorified form, as He had so many times foretold. The guards, seeing the tomb empty, fled in terror. Our bodies too will be glorified on the last day, if we die in God’s friendship. The damned will not be glorified, rather the reverse.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us recall some of our glorious resurrection experiences.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Second Glorious Mystery
The Ascension
(LUKE 24: 50-53)
Let us offer this Decade for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and for the intentions that are in the petition box.
Forty days after the Resurrection, our beloved Saviour commanded His apostles to go and preach the Good News to all nations. After
blessing them, in the presence of the five hundred people gathered
there, He rose heavenward. As disciples of Christ ourselves, we must live according to the Ten Commandments if we wish to gain the eternal joys of heaven.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us ask God for the grace to fight our temptations of sin and be fully like Jesus.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Third Glorious Mystery
The Descent Of The Holy Spirit
(ACTS 2: 1-43)
Let us offer this Decade for the blasphemies and sacrileges committed against the Holy Eucharist and for the unbelievers and also for those in
their last agony.
Ten days after Christ’s Ascension, the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin, as Jesus had promised them. He
appeared in the form of tongues of fire resting above
their heads. We too received the Holy Spirit at Confirmation, and should be apostles in our
little way, to help our non-Catholic brethren into the true church.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us be aware of God’s
Holy Spirit in us and do what He commands of us.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Fourth Glorious Mystery
The Assumption
(APOC 12 : 1)
Let us offer this Decade for the universal triumph of the Church by daily Mass and Holy Communion and the enthronement of the Sacred Heart of
Jesus and Mary in every home.
About three days after the burial of Mary, the apostles went to her tomb to pray, and discovered, to their profound amazement, that the sacred body was no longer there. It was therefore clear that God did not permit this sinless body to corrupt in the tomb, but ordered the angels to take her up to heaven, body and soul united.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on the glorious deeds God has done in our lives.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Fifth Glorious Mystery
The Coronation
(APOC 12 : 1)
Let us offer this Decade for the more sacrifices, prayers and penance as requested by Our Lady.
As soon as the humble Virgin Mary entered Heaven, God exalted her to such a wonderful degree of glory, that all the inhabitants of heaven,
Angels as well as Saints, acclaimed her as their Queen. Mary revealed to Blessed Alanus that God has chosen the Hail Mary prayer to be a special
means of saving our soul.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us take a delight in saying this rosary prayer every day without fail.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The First Luminous Mystery
The Baptism Of Christ
(MARK :1 9)
Let us offer this Decade for our Holy Father the Pope to have the strength to withstand the persecutions being directed against the Church.
In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him; and a voice came out of the heavens: “You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased.”
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us. reflect on the way we live our lives and ask God for the grace to be His sons and daughters.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Second Luminous Mystery
The Wedding Feast At Cana
(JOHN 2: 11)
Let us offer this Decade for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and for the intentions that are in the petition box.
On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the
wedding. When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no more wine.” And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Later, Jesus performed the miracle of changing water into wine and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us seek God’s grace of faith so that we will also have the strength to follow Jesus’
commandment of love and forgiveness.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Third Luminous Mystery
The Proclamation Of The Kingdom Of God
(LUKE 17: 20-21)
Let us offer this Decade for the blasphemies and sacrileges committed against the Holy Eucharist and for the unbelievers and also for those in
their last agony.
Jesus was going throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease
and every kind of sickness among the people. Large crowds followed Him from Galilee and the Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea and from
beyond the Jordan.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us turn to God, seeking the grace to be God’s light in a darkened world.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Fourth Luminous
Mystery The Transfiguration
(MATT 17: 2)
Let us offer this Decade for the universal triumph of the Church by
daily Mass and Holy Communion and the enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary in every home.
Six days later Jesus took with Him, Peter and James and John, his brother, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared before them talking with Him.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on all the changes God has worked in our lives and how God’s brilliance has
left us changed.
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)
The Fifth Luminous Mystery
The Institution Of The Eucharist
(MARK 14: 22-24)
Let us offer this Decade for the intentions that are in the petition box, for more sacrifices, prayers and penance as requested by Our Lady.
When the hour had come, He reclined at the table, and the apostles with Him. And He said
to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I say to you, I shall never again eat it until it is
fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”.
REFLECTION: As we pray this mystery, let us reflect on our approach to the Eucharistic celebration. Do we prepare well and have a great reverence and love for the Eucharist?
(Pause for reflection before reciting the decade)

Closing Hymns
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after You
You alone are my heart’s desire
And long to worship You
Chorus
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield.
You alone are my heart’s desire,
And I long to worship You.
You’re my friend and You are my brother
Even though You are a King.
I love You more than any other,
So much more than anything.
As I kneel before you
As I bow my head in prayer
Take this day, make it yours
And fill me with your love
Chorus
Ave Maria, gratia plena
Dominus tecum, benedicta tu
AlI have I give you
Every dream and wish are yours
Mother of Christ, Mother of mine
Present them to my Lord
As I kneel before you
And I see your smiling face
Every thought, every word Is lost in your embrace
Daily, daily sing to Mary
Sing, my soul, her praises due
Al her feasts, her actions worship
With her heart’s devotion true
Lost in wond’ring contemplation
Be her majesty confessed
Call her Mother, call her Virgin
Happy Mother, Virgin blest
She is mighty to deliver
Call her, trust her lovingly
When the tempest rages round thee
She will calm the troubled sea
Gifts of heaven, she has given
Noble Lady to our race
She, the Queen who decks her subjects
With the light of God’s own grace
Dear Lady of Fatima
We come on bended knee
To beg your intercession
For peace and unity
Dear Mary, won’t you show us
The right and shining way
We pledge our love and offer you
A Rosary each day
You promised at Fatima
Each time when you appeared
To help us if we pray to you
To banish war and fear
Dear Lady on first Saturday
We ask your guiding hand
For grace and guidance here on earth
And protection for our land
Here all we come to thee
O Bright Star of the Sea
With grief and tearful eyes
To wish thee a sad goodbye
Chorus
In heaven, in heaven eternally
We’ll see, O Mother Mary
In heaven, in heaven eternally
We’ll see, O Mother Mary
For pardon of every sin
We ask, O Pilgrim Virgin
And after this exile
Take us to Paradise
Our knees, we’re bending down
To kiss your snowy gown
Thy blessing, grant us, Mary
Farewell, farewell, O Lady
Like the woman at the well I was seeking
For things that could not satisfy
And then I heard my Saviour speaking:
“Draw from my well that never shall run dry”
Chorus
Fill my cup, Lord, I lift it up, Lord
Come and quench this thirsting of
my soul Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more
Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole
There are millions in this world who are craving
The pleasure earthly things afford
But none can match the wondrous treasure
That I find in Jesus Christ, my Lord
So, my brother, if the things this world gave you
Leave hunger that won’t pass away
My blessed Lord will come and save you
If you kneel to Him and humbly pray
Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with you
Blessed are you among women,
And blest is the fruit of your womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners now
And at the hour of death. Amen
Refrain
Gentle woman, quiet light
Morning Star, so strong and bright
Gentle Mother, peaceful dove
Teach us wisdom, teach us love
You were chosen by the Father
You were chosen for the Son
You were chosen from all women
And for woman shining one
Blessed are you among women
Blessed in turn all women too
Blessed they with peaceful spirits
Blessed they with gentle hearts
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He’s given
Jesus Christ His Son
(Repeat)
And now let the weak say I am strong
Let the poor say I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us
Give thanks
(Repeat)
Hail heavenly Queen, hail, shining Ocean Star,
O be our guide, diffuse thy beams afar
Hail, Mother of God, above all virgins blessed
Hail, Happy Gate, of heaven’s eternal rest
Chorus
Hail, shining Ocean Star, hail, heavenly Queen
O, be our guide to endless joys unseen
O, be our guide to endless joys unseen
Hail, full of grace, with Gabriel we repeat,
Thee, Queen of Heaven, from Him we learn to greet
Then give us peace
Which heaven alone can give, and, dead through Eve
Through Mary let us live
Hail, Queen of Heaven, the Ocean Star
Guide of the wand’rer here below
Thrown on life’s surge, we claim thy care
Save us from peril and from woe
Mother of Christ, Star of the Sea
Pray for the wanderer, pray for me
O gentle, chaste and spotless maid
We, sinners, make our prayer through thee
Remind thy Son that He has paid
The price of our iniquity
Virgin most pure, Star of the Sea
Pray for the sinner, pray for me
And while to Him who reigns above
In Godhead one, in persons, three
The source of life, of grace, of love
Homage we pay on bended knee
Do thou, Bright Queen, Star of the Sea
Pray for the mourner, pray for me
Hail Redeemer, King Divine
Priest and Lamb, the throne is Thine
King whose reign shall never cease
Prince of everlasting peace
Chorus
Angels, saints and nations sing
Praised be Jesus Christ, our King
Lord of life, earth, sky and sea
King of love, on Calvary
King whose name creation thrills
Rule our minds, our hearts and wills
Till in peace each nation rings
With Thy praises, King of kings
King most holy, King of truth
Guide the lowly, guide the youth
Christ, Thou King of glory bright
Be to us eternal light
Final Chorus
Sing all tongues, let none be dumb
Jesus Lord, Thy kingdom come
To the King of ages, then
Honour, glory, love. Amen
He can turn the tides and calm the angry sea
He alone decides who writes a symphony
He lights every star that makes our darkness bright
He keeps watch all through each long and lonely night
He still finds the time to hear a child’s first prayer
Saints or sinners call and always find Him there
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live
He’ll always say “I forgive”
He will come to us and heal our sinful soul
He alone can say “your sins I forgive you”
He will light your way and make your darkness bright
He keeps watch all through the lonely years ahead
He still finds the time to wipe our tears away
Saints or sinners still, He loves us all the same
Though it hurts Him much to see the way we live
He’ll always say “I forgive”
He can grant a wish or make a dream come true
He can take the clouds and turn the grey to blue
He alone knows where to find the rainbow’s end
He alone can see what lies beyond the bend
He can touch a tree and turn the leaves to gold
He knows every lie that you and I have told
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live
He’ll always say “I forgive”
Holy God, we praise Thy name
Lord of all, we bow before Thee
All on earth, Thy sceptre claim
All in heav’n above adore Thee
Infinite Thy vast domain
Everlasting is Thy reign
Infinite Thy vast domain
Everlasting is Thy reign
Hark! The loud celestial hymn
Angel choirs above are raising
Cherubim and Seraphim
In unceasing chorus praising
Fill the heav’ns with sweet accord
Holy, holy, holy, Lord
Fill the heav’ns with sweet accord
Holy, holy, holy, Lord
Holy Father, Holy Son
Holy Spirit, three we name Thee
While in essence only one
Undivided God, we claim Thee
And adoring bend the knee
While we own the mystery
And adoring bend the knee ”
While we own the mystery
Holy Queen, we bend before thee
Queen of purity divine,
Make us love thee, we implore thee,
Make us truly to be thine.
Chorus
Teach, O teach us, holy Mother,
How to conquer every sin,
How to love and help each other,
How the prize of life to win.
Thou to whom a child was given
Greater than the sons of men,
Coming down from highest heaven
To create the world again.
O by that almighty Maker
Whom thyself a virgin bore!
O by thy supreme Creator
Link’d with thee for evermore!
Come back to me with all your heart
Don’t let fear keep us apart
Trees do bend though straight and tall
So must we to others’ call
Chorus
Long have I waited for your coming
home to me and living deeply our new life
The wilderness will lead you
To your heart where I will speak
Integrity and justice
With tenderness you shall know
O Lord,my God,when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hand has made
I see the stars, i hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Chorus
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
And when I think that God his Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin!
When Christ shall come with shouts of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!
I hear the bells of Mary’s Ave ringing
Joy to my heart, like angel voices singing
Calling to prayer, with echoes from afar.
Chorus
Ave Maria, Ave Maria!
O Gabriel, sent down from heaven’s bright glory
To tell to men this true and wondrous story
I join with thee to praise God’s brightest star
O Queen assumed,star-crowned in God’s celestial light,
May thy sweet name be on my lips in death’s dark night
Guide me to Heaven, O radiant Morning Star
In His time, in His time
He makes all things beautiful, in His time
Lord, please show me everyday
As You’re teaching me Your way
That You do just what You say, in Your time
In Your time, ni Your time
You make all things beautiful,in Your time
Lord, my life to You I bring
May each song I have to sing
Be to You a lovely thing, in Your time
Immaculate Mary, thy praises we sing
Who reignest with Christ, our Redeemer and King
Chorus
Ave, Ave, Ave, Maria! Ave, Ave, Ave, Maria!
In heaven the blessed thy glory proclaim
On earth, we, thy children, invoke thy fair name
We pray thee, O Mother, may God’s will be done
We pray for His glory; may His kingdom come
We pray for our Mother, the Church upon earth
And bless holy Mary the land of our birth
My soul proclaims the Lord my God
My spirit sings His praise
He looks on me, He lifts me up
And gladness fills my days
All nations now will share my joy
His gifts He has outpoured
His little ones He has made great
I magnify the Lord
His mercy is for evermore!
His name I praise again!
His strong right arm puts down the proud ”
And raises lowly men
He fills the hungry with good things
The rich He sends away
The promise made to Abraham
Is filled by him each day
Magnificat, Magnificat
Magnificat, Praise God
Magnificat, Magnificat
Magnificat, Praise God
Mary from thy sacred image
With those eyes so sadly sweet
Mother of Perpetual Succour
See us kneeling at thy feet
In thy arms thy Child thou bearest
Source of all thy joy and woe
What thy bliss how deep thy sorrow
Mother thou alone canst know
On thy face He is not gazing
Nor on us is turned His glance
For His anxious look He fixes
On the cross and reed and lance
To thy hand His hands are clinging
As a child would cling in fear
Of that vision of the torments
Of His passion drawing near
And for Him thine eyes are pleading
While to us they look and cry
“Sinners, see my Child, your Saviour
Who for love of you will die.”
Yes, we hear thy words, sweet Mother
But, poor sinners, we are weak
At thy feet thy helpless children
Thy Perpetual Succour seek
Succour us when stormy passions
Sudden rise within the heart
Quell the tempest, calm the billows
Peace secure to us impart
Through this life of weary exile
Succour us in every need
And when death shall come to free us
Succour us, ah! then indeed
Mary is our Queen, O sing to her
Mary is our Mother, trust in her
Mary is the star that shines at night
Guiding us to Jesus, our true light Mary is the creature of our race
Whom the Holy Spirit filled with grace
To become the Mother of our Lord
The God whom she adored
Chorus
Ave, Ave, Ave, Maria!
Ave, Ave, Ave, Maria!
Mother dear, O pray for me,
Whilst far from heav’n and thee
I wander in a fragile bark
O’er life’s tempestuous sea
OVirgin Mother, from thy throne
So bright in bliss above
Protect thy child and cheer my path
With thy sweet smile of love
Chorus
Mother dear, remember me
And never cease thy care
Till in heaven eternally
Thy love and bliss I share
Mother dear, O pray for me
Should pleasure’s siren lay
E’er tempt thy child to wander far
From virtue’s path away
Or sorrow’s gloom upon me fall
and darken all below.
Then, Mary aid thy weeping child
Thyself a mother show.
Mother dearest, Mother fairest
Help of all who call on thee!
Virgin purest, brightest, rarest,
Help us, help, we cry to thee.
Chorus
Mary, help us, help we pray,
Mary, help us, help we pray,
Help us in all care and sorrow
Mary, help us, help we pray,
Lady, help in pain and sorrow,
Soothe those racked on bed of pain,
May the golden light of morrow
Bring them health and joy again
Lady,help the absent loved ones
How we miss their presence here
May the hand of thy protection
Guard and guide them far and near
O come to the throne of grace
O come to the heart most pure
To Mary our hope of life
In whom salvation is sure
Chorus
O Queen of the Rosary, hail!
Immaculate Mother of grace!
O pray for us, help us today,
Thou hope of the human race.
Immaculate Heart, we kneel
To consecrate all to thee,
The present, its pain and joy,
The future, all it may be.
The Rosary, white and gold,
We take from thy virgin hand;
A pledge of the power of God,
To heal and strengthen our land.
O Mother blest, whom God bestows
On sinners and on just
What joy, what hope, thou givest those
Who in thy mercy trust
Chorus
Most holy Mary, at thy feet
Thy children bend a suppliant knee
Dear Mother of my God
Do thou remember me!
Remember, Mary, Virgin fair
it never yet was told
That he who humbly sought thy care
Departed unconsoled
O purest of creatures! Sweet Mother, sweet maid
The one spotless womb wherein Jesus was laid
Dark night has come down on us Mother
and we Look out for thy shining, Sweet Star of the Sea
Chorus
Ave, Ave, Ave Maria
Ave, Ave, Ave Maria
Deep night has come down on this rough-spoken world
And the banners of darkness are boldly unfurled
And the tempest-tossed Church all her eyes are on thee
They look to thy shining, Sweet Star of the Sea
He gazed on thy soul, it was spotless and fair
For the empire of sin had never been there
None ever had owned thee, dear Mother, but He and
He blessed thy clear shining, Sweet Star of the Sea
Earth gave Him one lodging, ’twas deep in thy breast
And God found a home where the sinner finds rest
His home and his hiding place, both were in thee
He was won by thy shining, Sweet Star of the Sea
Chorus
On this day, O beautiful Mother,
On this day, we give thee our love,
Near thee, Madonna, fondly we hover,
Trusting thy gentle care to prove
On this day we ask to share
Dearest Mother, thy sweet care
Aid us ere our feet astray,
Wander from thy guiding way
Queen of Angels, deign to hear
Lisping children’s humble prayer,
Young hearts gain, O Virgin pure,
Sweetly to Thyself allure
Who wipes my tears away?
Who melts my frown?
Who always saves my day?
The one who wears the crown
Thank you for granting things,
For our answered prayers
And for the hope you bring to
Many who are in their dark despair
Chorus
Praise her with a flower
Thank heaven for our Mother
For her gift of love
Sent from up above
Brightens every hour
From the highest tower
Shower her with flowers
Mother and a friend
From my grateful hands
Accept my humble flower
On paper written lines
Express our needs
You always have the time
For every colour, race and creed
Our faith has brought us here
From far and near
In one united voice
We thank you for your
Blessings through the years
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God
And His righteousness
And all these things shall be added unto you
Allelu, Alleluia
Chorus
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia
Allelu, Alleluia
Man shall not live by bread alone
But by every word
That proceeds from the mouth of God
Allelu, Alleluia
Where two or three are gathered in my name
There am I in their midst
And whatsoever ye shall ask I will do
Allelu, Alleluia
Ask and it shall be given unto you
Seek and ye shall find
Knock and it shall be opened unto you
Allelu, Alleluia
Chorus
Oh the word of the Lord
Deep within my being
Oh the word of my Lord
You have filled my mind
Before I formed you in the womb
knew you through and through
I chose you to be mine
Before you left your mother’s side
I called to you, my child
To be my sign
I know that you are very young
But I will make you strong
I’ll find you with My Word
And you will travel through the land
Fulfilling My command
Which you have heard
And everywhere you are to go
My hand will follow you
You will not be alone
In all the danger that you fear
You’ll find Me very near
Your words, My own
Spirit of God in the clear running water
Blowing to greatness the trees on the hill
Spirit of God in the finger of morning
Fill the earth, bring it to birth
And blow where You will
Chorus
Blow, blow, blow till Ibe
But breath of the Spirit blowing in me
Down in the meadow the willows are moaning
Sheep in the pasture land cannot lie still
Spirit of God, creation is groaning
Fil the earth, bring it to birth
And blow where You will
Spirit of God, every man’s heart is lonely
Watching and waiting and hungry until
Spirit of God, man longs that You only
Fill the earth, bring it to birth
And blow where You will
Oh let the Son of God enfold you
With His Spirit and His Love
Let Him fill your heart and satisfy your soul
Oh let Him have the things that hold you
And His Spirit like a dove
Will descend upon your life and make you whole
Refrain
Oh Jesus! Oh Jesus!
Come and fill your lamps
Oh Jesus! Oh Jesus!
Come and fill your lamps
Oh come and sing this song with gladness
As your hearts are filled with joy
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to His name
Oh give Him all your tears of sadness
Give Him all your years of pain
And you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name.
Christ be beside me, Christ be before me
Christ be behind me, King of my heart
Christ be within me, Christ be below me
Christ be above me, never to part
Christ on my right hand, Christ on my left hand
Christ all around me, shield in the strife
Christ in my sleeping, Christ in my sitting
Christ in my rising, light of my life
Christ be in all hearts thinking about me
Christ be on all tongues telling of me
Christ be the vision in eyes that see me
In ears that hear me, Christ ever be
Sweet Heart of Jesus
Fount of love and mercy
Today we come Thy blessing to implore
O touch our hearts
So cold and so ungrateful
And make them, Lord,
Thine own forever more
Chorus
Sweet Heart of Jesus! We implore
O make us love Thee more and more
Sweet Heart of Jesus
Make us know and love Thee
Unfold to us the treasures of Thy grace
That so our hearts
From things of earth uplifted
May long alone to gaze upon Thy face
Lord I come to you
Let my heart be changed renewed
Flowing from the grace that i’ve found in You
And Lord i’ve come to know
The weaknesses I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love
Chorus
Hold me close
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near draw me to Your side
And as I wait I’ll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You
Your spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love
Lord unveil my eyes
Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love
As You live in me
Lord renew my mind
As Your love unfolds in my life
In living everyday
In the power of Your love
To Jesus’ heart all burning
With fervent love for men
My heart with fondest yearning
Shall raise the joyful strain
Chorus
While ages course along
Blest be with loudest song
The Sacred Heart of Jesus
By ev’ry heart and tongue
The Sacred Heart of Jesus
By ev’ry heart and tongue
O Heart for me on fire
With love no man can speak
My yet untold desire
God gives me for Thy sake
Father,in my life I see
You are God who walks with me
You hold my life in Your hands
Close beside You I will stand
I give all my life to You
Help me, Father, to be true
Jesus, in my life I see
You are God who walks with me
You hold my life in Your hands
Close beside You I will stand
I give all my life to You
Help me, Jesus, to be true
Spirit, in my life I see
You are God who walks with me
You hold my life in Your hands
Close beside You I will stand
give all my life to You
Help me, Spirit, to be true
What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
Oh what peace we often forfeit
Oh what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Are we weak and heavy laden
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Saviour still our refuge
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Do thy friends despise forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee
Thou wilt find a solace there
