Started by The Sisters of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM) in the spirit of St Francis of Assisi in 1969, Assisi Hospice provides care with dignity and comfort for patients with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. 2024 is a very special year as the Sisters of FMDM will be celebrating 75 years of serving the community with love while Assisi Hospice shares the joy of celebration for our 55thΒ Anniversary of providing care for our patients.
Assisi Hospice serves 2,700 patients, of which 50% are poorest of the poor, means-tested to the lowest income level, and in need of financial assistance. Hence, we need to raise funds to continue our mission of providing compassionate, personalised and quality palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Assisi Fun Day 2024
After a hiatus of three years due to COVID restrictions, Assisi brought back Assisi Fun Day on 11 June 2023 and we saw an overwhelming support from the community with more than 10,000 visitors at the carnival. This was made possible with your support to at Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 2023.
Next year, the Assisi Fun Day will be held at St Joseph Institution International (SJII) on 9 June 2024 and the success of this event depends greatly on the support from you the parishioners. We look forward to a reunion of hearts and hands as we continue to serve the community with funds raised from this carnival.
Please continue to bless and help us in our mission of caring for the sick, dying and the poor in our community. Thank you and God bless.
