The Society of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP) is part of a worldwide international charity network, headquartered in Paris. Most parishes in Singapore have a Conference (unit) of SSVP. The IHM Conference of SSVP was set up in 1971.
The IHM Conference helps the poor within the parish boundaries, irrespective of race or religion. Currently it helps around 30 needy families who are called Friends In Need (FINs). SSVP members visit the homes of the FINs and journey with them, giving them hope for a better tomorrow. SSVP helps the FINs to link up with appropriate Government and social service agencies so that they get the necessary Government help first. Where there is a shortfall, SSVP helps them with cash aid and rations.
SSVP members also take part in outreach programmes, often involving members of the IHM parish community, in helping the underprivileged and migrant workers in our midst.

Member meetings
The members will have the conference meeting on the
1 . First Tuesday of the month (in church) – to discuss and table the cases , seek conference approval and collect cash aids to be delivered to the FINs.
2. Third Tuesday of the month (on zoom) – to discuss and table the cases , seek conference approval .Members Birthday will be celebrated after the meeting.
