Alpha & Omega Ministry (AOM)
LiturgicalAlpha & Omega Ministry (AOM)
The Alpha and Omega Ministry (AOM) comprises Animators and Organists who
together serve at weekdays and weekends Masses at the start/end of the day:
- Mon – Fri, 7:30am & 6:15pm
- Saturday, 7:00am
- Sunday, 6:45am
- Days of Obligation, 7.30am, 12noon, and 6.15pm
In preparation for Masses that we serve, animators and/or organists reflect
on the readings a few days earlier so that hymns chosen are in sync with
the theme of the Mass. Animator and organist who are paired up schedule
their own practice sessions for the selected hymns, so that they are
adequately positioned to lead the congregation.
The chosen hymns for each Mass are always passed on to the AV Ministry for
slide preparation and presentation. The close working relationship with the
AV crew is critical as the correctness and timing of the slides facilitate
active participation of the congregation.
The AOM is always a tacit reminder for our members that our service should
be unconditional and for the Glory of God. We strive through our service to
enhance liturgical worship through music and enable each member of the
congregation to experience a deeper contemplation of God.
As we place Jesus at the centre of our lives, we pray for God’s continued
blessings and guidance to serve with humility and dignity.
If you have the gift of music or voice, we would like to invite you to
generously share your talents for God’s service.
