Rev. Fr. Timothy Yeo

Rev. Fr. Timothy Yeo is a dedicated Catholic priest ordained in 1997 for the Archdiocese of Singapore, appointed Parish Priest of the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary on November 5, 2024.

Born into a Taoist family, he was baptized Catholic in 1988 after six years in the Neocatechumenal Way at St. Francis of Assisi parish, where his faith journey began through itinerant catechists in the 1980s. His vocation deepened during World Youth Day in Spain in 1989, leading to seminary studies in Italy’s Redemptoris Mater Seminary and Macerata.

Fr. Timothy’s deep ties to the Neocatechumenal Way (a post-baptismal formation itinerary for deeper faith, approved by popes since John Paul II) shaped his conversion, priesthood, and ministry.

He served as assistant priest at Christ the King (1999-2002) and Holy Trinity (2002-2009), then Parish Priest at Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace from 2015 (or 2009), fostering evangelization via the House of Mary pastoral center.

Being a diocesan priest, he embodies the Way’s focus on Christ-centered communities like the Holy Family.

His vision promotes active ministry, spiritual growth, and service, inviting all to missionary discipleship.

Rev. Fr. Joseph Kace

Fr. Joseph Kace, originally from Hwarikhu village in Myanmar, was ordained a priest in April 2009, his native Hwari name “Kay-say” means Joseph. Growing up in the countryside, he cooked and cleaned for his large family of seven siblings while attending school, until good grades earned him a spot in a city minor seminary at age 12.

Though not initially drawn to priesthood, seminary life built his faith through spiritual exercises and routine, confirming his calling after secondary school. He advanced to major seminary, specializing in missionology.

Director for the Myanmar Catholic Community under the Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants & Itinerant People (ACMI), he travels to Johor to meet fellow Burmese communities and urges Christians to “make whatever good things you do as a mission of Christ.”

He loves fellowship, meetings, and traveling for mission work.

An avid outdoorsman, Fr. Joseph enjoys fishing, jogging at Serangoon Stadium, table tennis, badminton, and cycling. He’s also a guitarist who loves crooning 1970s-80s tunes, and he embraces Singapore life with an “international stomach” for local cuisine.

(Assistant Parish Priest)

Fr Joseph Kace hails from Myanmar and was ordained in April 2009 in Hwarikhu village where he was born. His name “Kay-say” is in his native Hwari language and it means Joseph.

Growing up in Myanmar’s countryside, the young Joseph was tasked to cook
and clean for his large family, consisting of seven siblings. It was no easy task for a young boy who had to juggle school as well. But God, according to him, works in wondrous ways. He was given an opportunity to move to the city and stay in a minor seminary while studying in a government secondary school as long as he did well in his last primary school examinations. Armed with good grades and a desire to move to the city, he took it up and said goodbye to his hometown.

At a young age of 12, Father Joseph did not have a strong desire to be a priest. However, staying in the minor seminary allowed him to practice various spiritual exercises and follow a strick routine juggling between studying and spending time with God. It was then he realized that he was forming a strong spiritual connection, and knew that becoming a priest was his ultimate goal. After passing his secondary school, he moved on to the major seminary to pursue his desire to become a priest.

For recreation Fr Joseph enjoys fishing and loves sporting activities. He jogs at the Serangoon Stadium and is fond of table tennis and badminton and cycling. Also an avid singer, he loves to strum on his guitar and sing songs from 1970s and 1980s.

Fr Joseph has adapted well to Singaporean ways and has no issues with the local food. “I have an international stomach!” he quipped and adds that he is adventurous in his food options.

His specialization is in missionology and he strongly believes that as Christians, we should “make whatever good things you do as a mission of Christ.”
