There was a time my world collapsed. I felt lost, weighed down by struggles, and searching for meaning. In that darkness, Christ’s grace found me. Through RCIA, I have learned to lean on Christ, to live with hope, and to be strengthened by His love and the support of this community. In my difficult times, I remind myself of this phrase “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. What once felt like an ending has become a new beginning in faith. I encourage you to come and see, and discover for yourself the joy of His grace.

Having been going to church with my family for many years, there was a perception that conversion would take a watershed moment in my life.

My communities from Marriage Encounter / Love Circle and Couple Empowerment Program clearly showed me how caring a tight knitted Catholic community is. This quietly edged me on towards the Faith.

This eventually led me to believe that there isn’t a need for a watershed moment and merely to just take the leap in walking the RCIA journey, just requiring an open mind, commitment and family support.

After becoming a Catholic, I feel immensely welcomed into the family, the journey has taught me to be more grounded, learning to slow down, reflect and to try be more life-giving.

I was quite unsure at first on whether I should join the Catholic Church, after many years spent as a Protestant. In the Psalms it writes, Taste and see that the LORD is good Psalm 34:8.
Truly, Jesus invites as to drink from the well of salvation, the sacred water springing up to everlasting life found in the sacramental life of the Church. So come and see for yourself!

Our family’s journey into Catholicism began quite simply with a visit to IHM one Sunday.

Though we didn’t know anyone at the time, we were warmly welcomed and introduced to Father Timothy and members of the parish community.
What we initially thought would be a one-time visit quickly became something more meaningful, as we found the RCIA program deeply enriching and decided to enroll when it began in May 2025.

A particularly significant moment for us was our time in Majodi, where we encountered Christ in a renewed and personal way.

It was also deeply encouraging to witness fellow brothers and sisters experiencing their own moments of transformation.

Along the way, we were given opportunities to serve in different capacities, and through these experiences, we sensed a clear conviction – that this is where God is calling us to grow and be rooted.

A significant milestone is attained.
A threshold is crossed, where the former self stays…and a new persona emerges.😊

I’ve undergone two ROPs.
One transitioned me from an individual… into a machine,Crafted by discipline, pressure, and resilience to do what need to be done.

Years later, another occurrednot to strengthen me… but to humanize me.

Not to enhance resilience… but to cultivate devotion.

This time, I didn’t merely change,I surrendered. andIt’s about transformation
“…one turned me into machinery.The other brought me back to humanity and in that moment,
I didn’t just change,I discovered my purpose.

Now, I traverse this path…as a Catholic.✝️

“I had walked my life chasing after wordly things, trying to satisfy myself with material comfort. I believe God wanted me to return to him and allow uncomfortable situations to happen. After I get to read the Bible and knowing Christ. I start to see the peace in knowing Him. Than I started searching for the truth and come across RCIA in the Catholic. I joined and journeyed through the year. During the RCIA journey, I come to know that it is definitely not a coincidence that I am in RCIA. Things always happened for a reason although some could be very uncomfortable. I thank God for creating me and making me a Catholic now. I become more humble and learn to look take up my own cross. I also learn to ask “ What would Jesus do in this situation” if i am face with a cross junction etc. RCIA is not only a place to learn about the faith but it is also a place to encounter Christ through all the people around us. I encourage all to come and see with an open heart. “
