On 1 May 2026, members of the IHM Canteen Ministry, together with the Jollies, embarked on a 3D2N joyful Spiritual Family Retreat to Kukup Seaview 1918.
Our journey began bright and early as we gathered at church at 5.00am. By God’s grace, we were blessed with smooth traffic all the way to Johor Bahru. After enjoying a sumptuous dim sum breakfast, we continued our journey to Kukup, filled with excitement and anticipation.
Upon arrival at Kukup Seaview 1918, we were warmly welcomed by our gracious hosts, who looked after us exceptionally well throughout the three-day retreat. From delicious meals to their heartfelt hospitality, we truly felt at home.
This retreat was a wonderful opportunity to slow down, deepen our friendships and strengthen the bonds within our spiritual family. There was plenty of laughter, meaningful conversations, delicious food and cherished moments shared across generations.
We were also blessed with beautiful weather throughout the retreat, allowing us to fully enjoy the many outdoor activities and the peaceful seaside surroundings. Every moment reminded us of God’s goodness and the beauty of His creation.
Above all, we give praise and thanks to God for His loving protection, abundant blessings, and for granting us a safe and memorable retreat. We are also grateful to Mother Mary for her loving intercession, praying for us and accompanying us throughout our journey.
As we returned home with grateful hearts, we carried with us not only wonderful memories but also renewed friendships, strengthened faith, and the joy of being one family in Christ.
