On 7 August 2026, the Canteen Spiritual Family had the joy and privilege of leading the Holy Hour at IHM for the first time.
It was a beautiful, grace-filled evening marked by moments of peaceful prayer, reflection and adoration. As we gathered before the Lord, we were reminded that Jesus is always present in our midst- welcoming us, comforting us and drawing us closer to His Sacred Heart.
For the Canteen Spiritual Family, it was a meaningful opportunity to serve beyond our usual ministry of preparing and sharing food. We were blessed to come together as a community to pray, worship and intercede for the Church, families, the sick, those who are suffering and souls in purgatory.
The peaceful atmosphere of the evening allowed us to slow down, be still and simply rest in God’s presence. We pray that the Lord continues to guide our ministry and use our small acts of service to bring His love and light to others.
Following the Holy Hour, everyone gathered for light refreshments and fellowship. Over food, conversations and laughter, we experienced the warmth of community and the joy of being part of God’s family.
It was truly a blessed evening- a time of prayer, service, fellowship and experiencing God’s love in our community.
May the Canteen Spiritual Family continue to grow in faith, love and service, always placing Jesus at the center of all that we do.
